Ah good, thought so. He is going to see it early next week. I guess the only complaints he found where, cheap interior (um yes I've heard that about every car on the market...ever) and the 4 spd manual had bad gas mileage. This is a 5spd though so it gets up towards 30 he said on hwy.

I'M OFFENDED!
Yeah, it should be a solid car. Plus it's a wagon, and wagons are made of pure awesome.

There is no 4speed of either type on the wagon. The auto went from 5 to 6 speeds (the 6 speed being much better) and the cloth is a little better.

The pre-2006 cloth is pretty bad... but that is fixable for a moderate cost with reupholstering. This wagon is also the most base-level one I've ever seen. I don't think it has any options at all.

30 on the highway is pushing it... I've never done that well, though 27-28 is pretty typical.

ok so it was the 4sp auto he was talking about... I thought he was being fishy when he said 4spd manual...I am pretty sure one of those isnt made for a non drag car in a looooonnnnggg while. anyway he bought the car and loves it.

...there is no 4-speed auto on the wagon. Sedans and 5-doors initially offered a 4-cylinder 4-speed auto combination, but the wagon was V6 only, which did not offer the 4-speed auto.

I was in Duluth last weekend... I swear I would kill myself on the Haines/40th hill climb if I lived there... I almost bit it on the way up.

huh then maybe he was just talking about the sedan, he is uneducated on mazda...and just blurted some info at me I was just repeating what he said.

Yes its a big hill but you get used to it...lots of burn clutch smell on the way up and brake smell on the way down :p
