Black RX7 at LSE

Finally got some video editing working on the laptop so I wanted to toss this up. It's the first time the RX7 was started off the AEM base map.

I think it's Aaron in the background you hear saying "asshole" since it's really fuck'n loud, and the other voice I think is John. Funny 11 sec clip.

Yeah, that would worry me too. Considering the thing was glowing at idle, I would be nervous. What did ya find out, just running too lean?

Ignition timing shift. It is really hard to damage a rotary at idle.

Damm street ports require such a different amount of timing from the base FD map or even from street port to street port, idle afr's are 14.7 if your lucky, most rotaries like it around 13.5:1.
John and I are going to try to resync it and actually see if it can pull itself up on the rollers now.

Hopefully Jeff will have some new wheels tonight!

I would say rotaries are the least "generic" tunes out there, every one (if ported) is different.
