Help, need crank holder pin for 07 CX-7

We cant find anything local anywhere, anyone that might have one we can use I assure you we will make it worth your while. Other applications are Ford 2.3 NA

you can use just a 6mmx1.00 bolt, about 1.3 inches long for that.

That's 30 or 35mm long, since it's a metric bolt

Yeah, we will do that as a last resort. I would feel better about a nice machined end rather than grinding down a bolt to make it fit in the crank pin hole. Thanks for the info though, it may end up being quite helpful.

Funny thing is they usually stock this tool, but don't have one at the moment. I have seriously called EVERYONE.

Yeah I just had a buddy do a timing chain on his 2.3 mz6. Was a pain in the ass. He ended up just using the bolt trick. Do you guys have a lathe? You could make your own tool pretty easily.

We would rather do it the PERFECT way instead of trying to make something work so we are overnighting both timing tools (crank pin and cam holder). We will have these tools in the future if any of you need timing work done on a 2.0 or 2.3 Mazda/Ford twin cam turbo engine. Thanks again for your efforts.

OTC makes them and supplies them to the dealership. I'm sure there is some sort of non-compete contract and that is why they are so hard to find. We are getting them directly from OTC.
