Yea, honestly, I don't see the point of CF if your just going to paint it. Unless your getting serious about weight savings, I'd go with the cheapest body panels (weather CF or Steel) if you are going to paint it.
More than weight savings, I'm into one of the reverse-cowl vented hoods. Cooling tends to be an issue on the MSP. Plus, the vented hoods look badass 8)

I'd take your car to Dent Kraft of hwy 55 before you do anything. They are simply the BEST around for PDR and it would be worth it to find out what they can replace via PDR and the cost. They don't do 95%, if they can fix it, it will be 100%.

They did my car when I had the dent in the driver side rear door and it came out flawless. other PDR people who looked said it wouldn't come out perfect, they did it.

At least new paint = FTW.

Do you think you'll be able to get the new CF Hood and possibly trunk and have the sides fixed for the dollars they gave you?

I should be able to get the CF hood and trunklid within the amount estimated for replacing and painting new OEM parts.

I'm probably going to look into seeing if PDR would be feasible and/or less expensive for some of the passenger side panels that were estimated as "repair/repaint"

Has anyone here actually used Dent Kraft for hail damage? From the prices listed on their website, it sounds like getting more than a couple dents fixed would quickly dwarf the cost of just replacing the entire panel. I'll probably stop by for an estimate in any case.

I've used them and they also deal with insurance. The variane on what insurance tells you the damanage was, compared to what they find they deal with getting from insurance. I spoke to them today and got my appt booked for both ours cars already. Call them up and tell them what your plans are, they are car guys and are porbably the best in the area at PDR. It's worth it to at least call and see what they suggest.

I think the hood would look good, but the top of the car, meh. Of course that's also a p5, which I'm not a big fan of, so that might maket he difference. You'd then leave the trunklid unpainted CF so the black would go from front to back?

right. I'm just thinking if I do CF for the hood and trunk, then having the roof painted black might make it look a little more coherent. especially since I'm getting a brand new roof panel anyways.
