I was thinking one of these 3 events might make for a fun meet before the summer's over. What say the masses?

I believe that we can get away with the most shananigans at the Renaisssance Festive. Plus I could bike there from my house, :)

^^^ September?

Plus, geeking out over the goodies at machinery hill would be a lot more fun if it wasn't just Nanami and I....
Doesn't the renaisance fair end in October?

I'm all about going to the state fair and gourging on cheese curds.

I'M OFFENDED!
Yeah cause in October they fire up the haunted house in the giant barn on that land.

I can get SF and VF tix at Cub, too, if y'all are interested in me purchasing them as a bulk for the group. I also saw a coupon in the State Fair Blue Book for "$5 on your return trip" where you can purchase a second ticket at the box office for only $5 that is intended for a future visit...but I'm wondering how that works, exactly. For instance, if half of us could buy the tickets at the $8 price and the other half gets the $5 ticket...and just splitting the overall cost evenly among us. I'm sure they prolly have precautions, though, like not being able to use the ticket on the same day. We'll see.

110 HP of FURY!
WTF goes on at the Renassaince Festival? I haven't been to VF since I moved to MN 9 years ago and I'm bored with the State Fair. It's the same shit every year.

It's basically like the state fair, only everything is back in the middle ages. All kinds of live performances, food, games, scary-ass medieval rides. And everyone who works there is dresses and acts like they're from back then--they've also got tons of actors who just walk around and add to the atmosphere. Oh, and all the ladies wear those low-cut dresses that push their boobies up and show tons of cleavage.

I know a lot of people who attend also attend to get in the spirit of things. Every weekend has a theme, so one might be cooler than others.

if you are looking at the ren fest, check the Happening book for coupons. We go every year and they usuallu have a by one get one free type of discount. It usually cost us about $9 to get in.
