So, I got the thing running and driving this fall, but now that winter is here and I have to deal with juggling the thing on snow emergency days, I think the novelty/amusement has worn off.

Anyone interested?

Oh yeah, it's a 1990 festiva with custom flame paint. Has a hole in the exhaust pipe, needs a battery, and burns a little oil. But it runs and drives.

I hadn't thought much about price. I bought the thing with a cooked transmission and a new clutch in the backseat for $400. Since then, I've installed the new clutch, put in a used 4spd MTX, a rebuilt CV axle, and replaced a few seals/gaskets/hoses, as well as wired it for a stereo. I've also got a few spare parts laying around that I'd include. I guess based on that, I'd throw up an asking price of $600.

Good question. There is a decent amount of pad/rotor material left on the front--no idea about the rear drums. The brakes are a bit squishy but it stops... I've been meaning to do a fluid flush one of these days and see how much that helps. Otherwise, one of the spare parts I have is a pair of wheel hub/steering knuckle assemblies, because the process of replacing rotors is kind of a PITA on the festiva... lol

I'd be more worried about the rear drums. You've been there for the brakes on the Mini, nothing can be that tedious.

Well, seeing as how festiva rotors require disassembly of the wheel hub and repacking the wheel bearings... I'd wager it's a bigger job than figuring out the clips on the mini's pads... heh. But, then again, that's what the aspire swap is for.
