Exhaust Cutout

What are some cutouts you guys would suggest if someone wanted to go that route for exhaust. I think something that would be controlled from inside the car would be nice.

I wonder if these cars will boost creep like the DSMs. Its really a good idea though. Retain that stock exhaust quiet tone and dump it for the track and race.

For those of us who want the ability to go back to a nice quiet ride, what do you think is the performance gain & loss and what would probably work best for placement?

By the looks of this pic alone:



we'd have some "kinks" even before an area for placement would see to open up.

Exhaust cut-outs really aren't a huge issue if your cat-back system is sufficient.

Small turbochargers, you want to open up everything pre turbo. The physical size of the turbine wheel restricts what would be available for gains.

I would say lets develop a good sounding and flowing cat-back system. Exhaust cut-outs work, but from our experiences the gains are negligable if the system already breaths well.

hmm interesting.. so you're saying that for my situation.. since I have a gt25 turbo.. very very tiny I should do more preturbo work first>?
