Thats what the first post says still so I hope so. That's the only weekend that I'm free to go.

Well at least there will be one true red speed on the cruise... :(

I brought up changing the date because of Josh's conflict (he'll be getting his honeymoon on), but unless there is a large consensus to change the date, I think we should leave it at the 11th.

Also, thanks for replying everyone!

Thanks for trying Jay, I'm still going to make half of this thread me bitching about being on vacation relaxin instead of getting my car covered in break dust while averaging 12 mpg.

So is this still on for the 11th then? Can we finalize this and move it on over to the other section?

What about those height restrictions in Wisconsin? Heard you have to be at least 5'8"....

This event is 100% happening. The only thing not finalized is the cruise route. I'm still looking at that, and still taking suggestions... lol

Would anyone have a problem with a 10am departure time? I would anticipate that we'd be meeting in one of two locations: either Stillwater or Hastings. Those are the two major crossings into WI, besides I-94.

Even though I'm not in on this I recommend at least an 8am departure time somewhere near the Wisconsin border if you want to have fun driving...

I have no problem with either departure time. I'll be asleep in Matt's front seat if its 8am though!

is the word, beotch
Doesn't kill it, however my wife isn't exactly a morning flower, but she'll be in my car so I'll deal with it...lol 9am might be a nice compromise though, especially for those coming from the west end of the metro. Just a thought, otherwise we'll make 8 happen. Sorry if I'm the odd-man-out on the early time.

Doesn't matter to me. Worst case, we just meet you guys there and not worry about the route/time.

I made a slight alteration to your second route.... shortened it by 1/2 hour and made it include Cty Rd O, which I've heard is a good drive.

I also made a few tweaks to the North of 94 route.... dinno if it's any better, but here it is:

It seems that all the most fun looking roads in WI run N-S, which makes it kind of a pain to plot a E-W route. But even straight 2-lane highways can be fun if you've got a big pack of cars (and there are no cops around... hehe). Except for the 94-only route, I think all of the posted ones so far offer a good mix of regular state roads/highways and a few little jaunts on backroads. Maybe we can narrow it down some by deciding whether to go north of 94 or south of 94? North is generally going to be more of a straight-shot, whereas South is necessarily going to be a little more meandering.
