I found the car I want. Its in Chicago! We would be meeting outside of Chicago, so we would not have to go all the way there. anyone up for it. I would do something special to make it worth your while! $$$

Some time tonight. I'll have to make plans with the seller. I checked google and it says 5 hours to Janesville, WI. Thats 2 hours out of downtown Chi. I'd like the seller to get at least that far. That means its 10 hours of driving for us.

BTW, you could probably fly to Chitown for less than $300, have the seller pick ya up at the airport?

Hmmm, that wing + that exhaust + rebuilt trans and teh guy says its been babied? I doubt it. I like the ride though (other than the exhaust). White ftw.

I bought the car off MNSubaru from Jake (JNorthWRX) June 1st of 07, the car has served me very well and I love it but times are tough and I just need to get my priorities straight. The car got a new heart back in August of 07 which now has just over 30k on the motor. In May of 08 it got hit by hail when I was parked outside of work in Maple Grove, which was immediatly fixed and all was better. I took it to the Ice Races and cracked the bumper but then got in an accident so the whole front end is freshly painted and brand new with OE parts (kinda sucks but it looks great). I wanna see it go to a good home because although some may say Jake loved it more it was truly loved by me and you can ask anyone that knows me that.

The bad-
Broken into passenger side door, some damage around the handle and around the trunk lock core (but I put a Subaru badge over it and I think it looks sweet) and the of course miscellaneous door dings ... things almost 6 years old.

 Car WILL come with misc. parts ... butt :)laugh:) that is to be determined.

That one seems kind of expensive for the damage it has/has had. Guy is trying to get his mod money out of it, if you were planning on doing a good share of those mods anyway it might not be a bad deal. I'd want to see it in person.

Well I would have to go with the local option to be honest. Seems like your getting the full history of the car with it. I agree with Mrmatt about the questioning of the "babied" part. I would believe it was babied if it was bone stock. And I can fix those "dings" for free.

Yeah, I'd be a little hesitant to fetch that car without a lot more research. Trust me I understand you have a big wad of dough and you want a fresh whip.... but it seems a little sketchy to me.

Well my top 3 cars are a 1. stock STI with 95k miles. The guy just bought it, so I'm VERY nervous about that one.

the second is the local option. BRAND NEW ENGINE/BRAND NEW TRANS. But I know that he has had trans and engine issues. hes a young guy who put all of his money in his whip and then it went boom on him. He fixed it up, but its a car with a history of problems.

The third option is the white WRX in Chi. Its got the brand new RA gears, so the tranny is bullet proof. That's HUGE. Its pretty basic engine is :(, but the price is right at $8k OBO. That's why I like that one.
