We had a bit of the same with Jana's sisters kids. It was so cute, and I can't wait till I can experience the same.Ella was friggin' hilarious! She had a crazy giggly laugh she'd do every time she was tearing open a present. I was kicking myself for not bringing the video camera to Christmas.
With your daughter coming in April AJ, the first Christmas won't be too exciting because she'll probably just be starting to crawl and won't be able to tear into the gifts at all, but the second Christmas will be the fun one for sure. We were especially glad that Ella wasn't afraid of Santa when he came to visit Jess' family's Christmas Eve gathering as he does every year. Usually the kids are shy, but Ella was hollering "Santa!!" as soon as he walked in the door...awesomeWe had a bit of the same with Jana's sisters kids. Hope everyone had a merry X-Mas!
Wishing everyone on here a great end to 2008, and hopefully a great start to 2009!
T, Ella hasn't gotten her bear yet because she hasn't been home to see her stocking yet. She and Jess are staying in EC until Saturday night. I came home last night because I had to work today, and then I'm heading back to EC right after work for one last family get-together tomorrow. I'll definitely let you know what she thinks. She got a cabbage patch doll (infant one, so it's a little smaller than the "normal" ones I guess) and my brother gave her a stroller, Great Grandma gave her a dolly-sized baby blankie and Grandpa and Grandma made her a dolly cradle and gave her some dolly accessories like a pacifier, sippy cup and bottle and she's in 7th heaven for sure. She was doing laps around my parents' house with her dolly in the stroller and all of the accessories jammed in there too...it was pretty funny, especially since she (Ella) was wearing her footed jammies and wearing her pink snow boots while tromping around and around...lol Again, should have brought the video camera for sure.Pete how did Ella like the bear?!?!?!
