Can anyone fill me in on the offset for rims on the 2010 Mazdaspeed3? I own one but dont know the information offhand.

The reason I ask is I am still driving around (or sliding around) on my summer tires. lol I really need snow tires but they are so damned expensive for the stock rims.

Does anyone have a suggestion for brand of tire and maybe tire/rim combo?

Any information would help.

I was going to throw Blizzaks on it but they are sold out currently.

found the OEM setup on a 3 forum.

18 x 7.5", 5 x 114.3 mm (4.5") bolt circle, 52.5 mm offset

i'm running Dunlop SP winter sport 3D (16's) on my 6. haven't had much snow drive time yet, but i don't have any complaints about them either.

I got a set of Yokohama tires on for winter. They do really well. But I did go for a full set of rims right away too (the cost of swapping tires for the season change can be pricey)

I got them at Discount tire and went with a non steely rim for about $900 installed. They are 17s. But now Discount Tire will swap and rotate my tires for free for the life of my car.

I did pretty much the same as derrian, picked up a used set of 16" OEM 3 wheels and with tires ended up around $850. Went with Michelin Primacy Alpin PA3's which are awesome.

I've been down that road before. That sucks. I bought my winter wheels and tires for 450$ on here actually. 16" steelies will fit.

I've also got a second set for winter. 17" wheels with Dunlop SP WinterSport3D, same as Kris. This is the second winter for them, excellent tires IMO.

SOME 16" steelies will fit. With the wrong offset, you'll hit the brake calipers. Though, some wheel spacers would probably fix that.

IIRC, the steelies tire rack's website suggests for the MS3 are correct. Generally steel wheels are going to be the most economical choice, though probably you won't have too much trouble finding a generic set of aluminum wheels for around $400 or so. Don't get 18s. 18" snow tires get spendy fast.

Just something to keep in mind if you throw snow tires on your stock rims, but mounting/unmounting tires can get spendy fast.

It'll wear them out faster too, only supposed to mount/unmount tires a couple of times.
