But it does not say what year....

To answer your question, I have about the widest I've ever seen on one without it looking superdeluxe mexiflush, and I have 9" wide wheels on mine. I have absolutely 0 clearance on the inside (Seriously, I can't get a finger between the shock tower and the tire). +42 offset, and it's RIGHT on the lip. Had to roll the rears flat, pull the fenders a lil bit, and I still need to grind down the mounting brackets on my rear bumper before I'll have 100% clearance. Keep in mind too, the tires on it are 245/40, and it's only a 17" wheel. So- unless you're looking to camber the piss out of it, and run beyond hellaflush, you're probably looking at a 9" wheel. Also keep in mind, I'm not dropped at all. We fitted these to a car with a 2 inch drop a few weekends back for shens, and to say the rears would need a little lovin' is an understatement.

Rota DPT 17x9+42.

Offtopic, looks like you've got quite the mixed bag of thoughts for the car. I'd be careful about putting a giant turbo on it, the rods are freakishly weak in these things. If you're going to start upgrading, your intake path is the right idea. I have the CP-E Nano and the CP-E TIP, and let me tell you, it made a world of difference. Couple with a midpipe (that was custom made, but that's a whole other story) and a wicked custom intake manifold, I manage 256/280wtq @ 13psi. I don't have engine management yet, but I need it like.... yesterday. I'd take a pile of that change you scrounged from the sofa and invest in a solid tuning solution. My personal preference is the CP-E standback, but I have heard of people having luke with the Cobb AP and the ATR software. For sure you're going to need it if you get an FMIC, otherwise, your car is going to hit fuel cut like whoa.

One other thing to consider, what are your eventual goals with the car? Drag? Road course? Autocross? Shenanigans? That'll help you get a clearer picture as to what to do with your car, instead of randomly doing mods like I did.

$7k...hrmmm...

Well Cobb's getting new hardparts, which means their FMIC will be available again. It was the best one. I'd go that route.
Stick with the Cobb SRI and TIP.

CP-e is releasing a full turbo kit fairly soon - keep an eye out for it as it'll come with an exhaust mani, downpipe, turbo, etc.
If you do go aftermarket turbo, your only viable and safe tuning option is the CP-e standback. In due time, they'll have a full standalone tuning solution available too, so again, keep an eye out for that too.

You'll also need fuel. I'd recommend KMD fuel pump internals for the cheapest route, or CP-e's full fuel pump as the most expensive, but safest alternative.

Many people have run aftermarket turbos on stock block, clutch, and transmission. I'm a firm believer now, that it's all in the tune, the way you drive, environmental conditions, etc. Watch your PID's and you'll be fine.

To reference that, here's an MS6 (remember, AWD = more drivetrain loss, and this guy's at 5,500 ASL) with I think a GT3076, tuned with a CP-e standback:

Cobb's AP won't get near those numbers...stick with CP-e for tuning, and you'll have a solid set up.

What's your timeframe? We can help as best we can, but prepare for a hefty chunk of change spent and budget for a daily driver, especially for winter.

^ what JT said. A few of us have been around the block a few times..... better to learn from us than eBay lol.

yeah i know its offtopic, and thanks. but i got drag in mind, im tryin to hit 500whp nothin higher wit this though unless i got the money to spend to convert to rwd. but i got the tuning part figured out. i was jus gonna go wit a bolt on turbo not gonna go to freakishly huge. cuz i need a new turbo anyway, mine is leakin oil internally. i want MAP to do my intake mani

but my goals are drag and shenanigans. my exhaust side is almost done jus need mani and downpipe. the rest is all custom 3" piping i kept the stock tip though cuz i liked the way it looked. but im thinkin bout a gt3076r for my turbo, dunno what i should do for my suspension but thinkin cobb. i dont plan on makin it super fast but jus fast then im gonna work on the cosmetic side and make it look good

i dont like using ebay all that much, and i've done a decent amount of tuning but the ms3 jus doesnt have that much out for it right now. and i will definately go wit cp-e. tryin to get this all done before the snow falls, and if i cant get it done before then i'll do it in spring. i would rather spend the money on a winter beater, but i need a new turbo since its leakin oil internally which i hate cuz it starts to smoke bad. if ur ever at porkys or holiday on 280 u mightve seen me

MAP can do it, as can DB. MAP's actually tuned a few DISI's to run on e85, and they've responded well, or so I am told.

If you're shooting for 500whp, prepare to shell out an absurd amount of money, and honestly...prepare for a long, long road. One person has eclipsed 500whp with an MS3. He did it with a T3 PTE 6262 .82a/r @ 35psi with the help of a 50 shot and meth. You WILL need a forged engine for a build like this.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with this engine, or direct injection, but the principle is simple = you have half the time to inject fuel into the cylinders as compared to port injection. This greatly reduces your window for creating power (obviously without adding fuel-adders such as meth, nitrous, e85 and the like).

Aftermarket cams aren't an option unless you want to spend the $$$$ for custom grinds.

You will need a lot of help, along with a lot of research if you're serious about going this route. $7k will NOT cut it my friend. Prepare for around $12-15k for a full engine build, turbo, suspension, hard-parts, labor, tuning, etc. This isn't a 2-3 month timeframe - it doesn't work with this car. You will need a daily both for winter and to allow down time.

I'm not bashing you, so don't take it offensively. I'm looking to provide you with a clear window of expectations as you're not the first person to attempt this.

i know u arent bashin me, im still learnin bout this car. and all i got is 7k for right now so im gonna get the most outta what i got to spend for now. most of the work i can do myself so labor cost isnt a problem its jus the tuning.

I would honestly wait to see what CP-e comes out with. Piecing stuff together for a big turbo (BT) build can be quite the headache, especially if this is your first time dealing with these cars. Unlike a lot of different platforms, the speeds don't have the huge after market resources, so a lot of BT guys have a lot of expensive custom work done.

CP-e's kit is rumored to include a cast T-3 exhaust manifold and a matching V-band down pipe. Which basically opens the door on which turbo you would like to use.

Not to mention it'll already work with their tuning solutions. CP-E is likely gonna be the go to guys for these, much like AMS and Buschur are for Evos and DSMs.

Oh I'm aware. But still... CP-E seems to put out the best parts/tuning/packages for this car..... sorta like MAP and RRE working with Buschur.... CP-E+AMS=OMGAMAZING.
