What Rotor Do You Guys Think Is Best?

After the first autox of the year and the spring cruise my rotors have been warped to hell and they need replacing. I just want to continue running blanks but does anyone know how well Brembo blanks last? I beleive I have Centric rotors on now which I am going to stay away from. Otherwise anyone know where is could pick up cheap (like $50 a rotor) slotted rotors?

*EDIT* These rotors are maybe 3 months old too and they are already worse than my slotted were after a year of autoxing and driving.

I like the EBC rotors personally. Can't say they're the best of anything as I have only compared a few over the years. I have the gold finished (top coat) slotted and blind drilled rotors currently... but have run non-slotted and/or drilled in the past on my SVT.

I just put on new rotors today (sadly they are Centric). My last set was purchased from Street Unit.com and they were from a company called Rotoworks and were paired with Axxis metal masters pads. The front pads/rotors were still very strong after 70,000 miles, but the rears finally went on me.

To clarify I needed new front brakes after the stock ones went to hell at 35,000 miles. I got an expensive set (from StreetUnit) then and with that, got Axxis pads for the front, but left the rear pads alone.

So as of this morning my rear pads had gone 112,000 miles!!! And the front brakes that were replaced at 35,000 miles were still plenty good. The "rotorworks" rotors were drilled/slotted (as are my new brakes).

When I tested out the new rotor/pad combo today (these have Hawk pads) they had a unbelievably strong bite. So...I'm not sure if any of this helps...and continueing along those lines have you considered getting a pair of used MSP calipers and upgrading to slightly larger brakes??? You can get them from protegegarage.com

Braking is not an issue for me I'm running with EBC GreenStuff pads. My problem is last season I did the EBC GS with StopTech slotted rotors and it was an excellent combo. This spring I didn't want to pay $70+ for a slotted rotor again so I went with Centric blanks. IDK if this is some fluke and I got a set of bad rotors or possibly their blanks suck. My bro is running slotted Centrics and Hawk HPS pads and he has no warping at all. I really like how the Centrics have the painted hubs but I guess I will live with out that.

Have you measured them to verify that they are in fact warped? Apparently many situations where people think their rotors are warped are actually uneven brake pad deposits.

Personally I'm not at all sold on drilled/slotted rotors. Pretty much every tech article I have read says that for street and light track use, a vented blank rotor is the best way to go.

Yeah I have read a lot about the slotted/drilled discussion too, but honestly I do think the slotted gave me a little more bite in autoxing. and I'm 99% positive the rotors are warped I have never heard of deposit issues with EBC pads. I'm guessing with the autox and the spring cruise I just overheated the capacity of these rotors. IDK I have to wait till I'm home again so I can get the car in the air and inspect them.
