Turbo Timer

Ok my question is:
Placement of the turbo timer??

Im going to keep my car extremly clean. Like it came from the factory, haha.

This is why im doing the Rousche vent gauge. But i was thinking.. In trying to keep the TT from looking builky and out of place, are there any that fit inside the deminsions of the ashtray? And if anyone could toss me a few comments on which one has worked best for them?

I just let my car idle for a minute-3 minutes(based on my driving) before I shut the engine down.

If I put a turbo timer in id go with something simple and locate it in the glove box or some other hidden location - keep thieves away!

You could install in the ashtray if you want. Pretty sure I've seen an HKS there.

Also, there's a open slot below the driver's side dimmer switch and above the hood release that could fit a turbo timer and look very stock.

However, with these vehicles most people feel they are not necessary. Letting the vehicle idle for 30sec to 1min (or more if you literally just stopped railing on it) is believed to be adequate. I follow this method, after all, if the car needed it stock to protect the turbo, Mazda would install one so they wouldn't have to cover people's turbo problems during warranty. But you can draw your own conclusions.

My alarm system has an integrated turbo timer, so that's another option. Just press a button on the keyfob before you shut the engine off to activate it. It's not as fancy as the ones you're thinking of, but there is no panel or anything to install, so you can't get any cleaner.

That spot below the dimmer switch and above the trunk release is where the OBDII (or whatever, disagnostic thing) port is. Feel the top inside of it.
