Toms 2010 gonna be broke and probably divorced mod extravaganza!

Erik always says the easiest place to lose weight is the rims/wheels and the driver :p

Luckily I realize he does not tell me this because he thinks I'm fat :p :p

I have seen the CF on SU but not sure on the weight differences.

I just noticed something interesting on Eibachs site. Was looking for specs between the proline springs and the sportline springs, and it seems they make valve matched shocks for the springs they sell. Perhaps a better idea than Konis?

I would read up on stainless brake lines before going for them. Much like drilled/slotted rotors, I've read as many knowledgeable folks saying they are garbage or worse, as I have saying they are a worthy upgrade. I'm not going to throw my opinion in there, except that I'm not convinced they are an automatic "upgrade" over the stock brake lines in all cases.

Yeah, I dinno. Im sort of running out of ideas. I need to get my car cornerwieghted and then am going to figure out suspension. I hope. I gotta make a call to Koni.

Are you going to race it and care about how you perform, meaning competitively? Then don't worry about saving weight. You have other things to worry about.

Stainless brake lines are nice, but definitely not a necessity. If you are going to be tracking the car (road course) just get some nice pads like I pointed out earlier and make sure you put in a high temp brake fluid.

If you aren't going to have coilovers in the car then corner weighting isn't going to do anything for you.

I've never read a bad review on stainless lines in general, just issues with poor quality ones. I'm still tempted to add them to my 6, as they did improve the braking feel characteristics on the SVT when I added them.

Yeah, no coilovers, at least any time soon. Konis and springs for now, should give me some extra turn. What are your thoughts on adjustable camber links? I'm def thinking set for the rear, just becaue I don't wanna look like a stupid ricer, and would like a little adjustability. I'm thinking upper camber mounts at the front when the Konis go in, just because the shocks/struts will already be out of the car. Car will be a primary DD, with maybe some track time, so brakes are sort of up in the air for me.

Camber links it is. They're cheap enough, and the suspension is going to be all apart anyhow. Man this thing is gonna be nasty when I'm done.

Small update- the Improve Craft Garage shift knob arrived. It has a 5 speed pattern on it, where reverse is where 6th is in my car. I do believe I shall use that for shens later. Problem is, I dropped it and scuffed it some on one side, not sure what to do about that. Also came with a cool pink Japanese sticker. I like stickers.

Muteki sr48 open ended lug nuts have arrived, and they are fucking SHINY. And rainbow. They came with a nice little extended socket to make it work, so at least stealing them should be interesting. No idea if there's a sticker in there, I hope so.

Rally Armors have arrived, and are sitting on my computer desk.

No idea where the CP-E TIP is.

Sways left California yesterday via Fedex, I imagine I will see those next week.

The mystery box arrives today.

More to come!

Apparently the sways are now in Philly. No idea how this helps me, but whatever. I expect them in the next week or so.

If your front sway bar is anything the Evo, have fun installing that. :)

I'll bring my sawzall so you can just cut the entire front end out of the car once you're done swearing and throwing tools.

I anticipate this being done offsite, as the collection of tools I have is woefully underfilled for the purposes of sway bars. I also have to order camber mounts from SU for both the front and the rear end of the car, so we're not there yet. Next on the price is right, is getting the wife to negotiate a deal on the KDW2/NT's that are going on the fatness in my living room.

I need rear camber plates but I've heard it's a pain to install them. Tom - install yours then come install mine. :)

Im gonna do camber arms. Should be easy looking at the parts. Front ones a re CAKE, drop out the shocks, put in camber plate on top of shock, done. I need to do more research on suspension first, im only doing this once.

Also, I'll trade you help on camber plates, for help on the FSB.
