The chatbox thoughts thread.

Post here if you ever have an issue with what has been said. If you are not comfortable with doing that you can PM myself or AJ and we will deal with the issue in the most appropriate manner.

Also if there is a topic you would like to hear more about start a thread and we can discuss it.


I will start.

I want everyone that use the chatbox to stop and think for one second before you post a chat. The your momma jokes are in good fun but when every three chats is a mom joke that is not so fun. The chat box has great battles that happen ask Jay he can tell you because he is on one side or the other of 90% of them. That is what the chat box is for. Everyday things and random chatting. If you would like to talk more then lets say ten chats about one thing the it should be a thread.

Also the chat box is the first thing a new member sees and having engaging conversation in it would help them to feel more at home and comfortable with posting. This forum is not about the few that can spend all day on the site and post all the time. It is a good place to stop in during your day and see what the buzz around MN is.


This is a fun place to hang out and have fun. Lets keep it that way.

These two points are arch enemies I don't agree that more than 10 chats on something it should go to a thread. Plenty of discussions in the chatbox have spawned threads, but there is a lot of other discussions/arguments that are just fine left in the box IMO.

I do agree that toning the momma jokes and such down just a tad would be a nice change.

Well what I said was more of thought. Like can this be a thread or would it end up going nowhere? Then chat or thread.

Nate it's a good idea in theory but never works in practice. I try to post threads and I'll get a handful of replies. If I post it in the chatbox I'll get 30 replies.
