Welcome aboard! I don't know if we have any st. cloud members... but we're looking at organizing some events that might be worth a trek down to the cities, or might even bring the rest of us up to your neck of the woods. Either way, enjoy the speed3, and hopefully we'll see you at a meet soon!

Oh, and I see you have a black speed3.... if you want to piss off Tom (mndsm), you should get it done up in limo tint, black rims, and smoked headlights/taillights. Right now, he prides himself on having the scariest-looking MS3, and I know he'd enjoy some competition! :nhl_fight:

IN reference to the numbers, try and find the dyno sheet that aviateur posted. Has his car (Mazdaspeed intake, TurboXS race pipe), Jesse's car (CP-E intake) and my car (Stock). The HP numbers arent that different. Waiting for some more meaningful mods myself. As for tint, Talk to the guys @ Street Scenes, they're a sponsor here. They did my car @ 20% all they way around (limo is too dark for the cities) for 200$ out the door. Great quality, and fast as hell too.

As far as tint goes my buddy found a deal where he (my old vw passat 1.8t), our old roommate (grand prix gt), and myself get it for about $180 each. He's a member of MNSC and I think that's where he got the deal. I'm split between 20% and 35% - my current roommate had a sick GTP w/20% and ended up with a couple tickets for it.
I like the quicker access to power on the blue line - forgive my possible ignorance, but the race pipe doesn't include downpipe correct? I think the biggest change will be upgrading the ECU with the other smaller mods, allowing for full potential from the intake and topmount.
And to aviateur, where are you at in New Hope? My mom lives right off Winnetka and Medicine Lake Road - I'm there every other weekend practically. In fact I'll be heading down there tonight!

I have 20% on my car, and let me tell you, it's the only way to fly. I've had cops eyeball my car like 6 times now, and actually got pulled over once, and no one has said a word. I think the fact that it's a black car causes it to look darker, and the cops see the same thing and think that the car is fucking with them. Really, unless you act like a total douche or are in a county where the cops are bored (St. Paul, the cops have better shit to do than harass me for my tint, other than that it's all highway) you aren't going to get hassled.
As far as the race pipe, all that is is the 2nd cat delete. Good part, but I fail to see how someone can charge like 175$ or whatever for a peice of steel and two flanges. Another guy on here (mazdamn02) and myself are working with LSE performance to get an exhaust out for our cars. Looking to be a sweet unit and decent gains. They're going to test fit Josh's car and once it's a go, i'll probably be going that route. In any event, once again welcome, and enjoy your stay and whatnot.

I live just east of Bass Lake Rd and Winnetka. If you know where the New Hope golf course is, I'm just on the other side of Bass Lake Rd.
