New paintjob. How long to wait before washing/waxing?

So, my hood still has this new paintjob. How long do I have to wait before I can wash it? How about waxing? It was painted about 4 weeks ago, and has spent about a week indoors, the rest out in the cold.

When I had paint-work done, I believe I was told to wait about a week before washing, and 6 weeks before waxing.

But I'll defer to nate's infinite wisdom for the final answer

Jay has it right here.

You can wash it finr now but don't wax it for 3 more weeks.

also no automatic washes. they use harsh chemical that can damage new paint.
