How about we just cut all these fuckin athletes back to normal (~100k/yr) salaries, and purge the entire system of everyone but those who enjoy the game. I mean, isn't being one of the best players in the world, and getting paid to play a damn GAME in front of millions of people good enough? Do we have to pay them millions of dollars and reinforce their god complexes as well?

I'm getting damn sick of all these spoiled assclowns acting like they're above the damn law, just because they're good at throwing a ball.

This kinda shit is EXACTLY why I really only like college sports. Take U of M hockey for example. Every one of the kids out there playing is there because they want to be. They don't get paid, and they work a hell of a lot harder than pro atheletes (they have schoolwork too). Some of them get scholarships, but they aren't driving around in Bentleys on dubs and all that shit. The games are more fun too.

Yeah, but with the Gophers football at least they kicked those four players off of the team (and they're thinking about kicking them out of the U entirely). If it were the NFL, it would have been a $50k fine and 4 game suspension.
