Does any one know if any other brakes that are bigger but are a direct fit for a mazdaspeed protege. My buddy had a 240 and could fit some other nissan brakes on it i was wondering if mazda had any similar abilties such as a 3 or a 6.

There are big brake kits for the MSP (>$1000), but I'm 99.9% sure there are no OEM parts that can be directly swapped in.

To clarify, you can use certain model 626 and rx-7 parts as replacements for certain OEM parts, but AFAIK they are the exact same parts, but in some applications the MSP parts are listed differently or not at all. So knowing the proper direct-replacements from different models can make broaden the selection of parts you can choose from.

For example, if you see ANY manufacturer listing rear brake parts as identical between the MSP and non-turbo protege, the application is WRONG. I had to specify rear pads for a '95 RX-7 in order to order the correct Hawk HPS pads.

If you want more detailed info on parts interchangeability, check out www.mazdas247.com, as most of this stuff has been thoroughly documented there.

I'M OFFENDED!
Biggest problem you're going to run into is hub size. If the hub isn't the same, then you're hosed... cause the discs won't fit. If the hub is the same, then you're looking at getting a bracket made to mount the larger calipers. IIRC many of the components from the earlier 626 are shared across the line. Speed3/6 brakes are Volvo derived, prior to Fords sale of their stake in Mazda. IMO, you're probably best off finding a big brake kit from someone like SSBC or Baer, that features bigger rotors and a bracket to move the caliper accordingly.

You also cannot forget the master cylinder, or the brake balance. You start making parts bigger, you start messing with the balance, and then shit like a tail happy msp starts happening. Personally, i'd start with a set of uprated pads ( I really like the Hawks I put on the Mini), and go from there.
