CP-E full control reflash

Those are some monster midrange torque gains... but it's still a little surprising that even holding the throttle plate wide open to redline nets such small gains at the top-end.

^ I believe that's done just on a stock vehicle, the top-end increases massively when coupled with a TBE, intake, BOV, etc.

In any case, the low-mid torque gains are quite impressive.

What is the actual product they are selling here? Is it a replacement for the standback, or a device that reflashes the factory ECU like the AP? I haven't been following CPE's products....

Im thinking of calling pg and finding out. it looks like a reflash for the ecu but they do ask if you have the standback. they also say it can be used on a stock version car so i would say its a seperate piece!

If you read the .pdf below where it says "please read this document" in red it says the flash must only be used with a stock vehicle or a vehicle with any combination of CP-Es mods.

So, yes it can be used on a stock vehicle. Which is the dyno results I'd like to see in addition to the modded car they provide.

Okay, so reading the instructions.... basically, you send them your stock ECU, they flash it and send it back.

^ You got it.

I believe the re-flash they did on the MS6 was on a stock vehicle, I just saw the link was on the MS3.

Very impressive gains, and well worth the $

So if you don't use CPE's special shiny tubes and use other manufacturer's tubes (intake/exhaust) it won't work?

From what I understand their current flash is done on maps with only their products, and you can only transfer your map to another car with EXACTLY the same mods, so essentially NO I don't THINK it will work until they release other maps for other tubing makers.

Bah.... an intake is an intake and an exhaust is an exhaust. All that noise about only using it with cp-e's bolt-ons is just there for two reasons: 1)to sell more parts to noobs who don't know any better, and 2) to indemnify them against some gomer who slaps this thing on his car, opens up his MBC all the way, and blows his motor.

Haha, when I was originally talking to the engineer over there he was talking about having a sealed setup where he didn't have to deal with people making tweaks. Glad to see they got it off the ground!

Or Gomers (aka manufactures) that design shit, but really don't go thru the R&D to make sure all the sensors are calibrated correctly. Intakes that relocate and modify anything around a MAP sensor are a dangerous option if you do not monitor everything closely. I know in the beginning there were some SCARY looking "intakes" out there.
