How friggin' sweet are these?!?!

They were revealed at the Japan Auto Show by Wed Sport and they only weigh 6.08 lbs each. No price given.

The weight is freakin amazing (any idea what size they are?) But I'm not totally feeling the weave pattern on the spokes. I know some would call it sacrilege, but I'd paint em... lol

Wow, thats awesome. Lightweight and much stronger than standard alloy wheels. But, I can only imagine what the price would be... Magnesium wheels can be insanley expensive and I am sure these are more.

Wow... Wonder how they'd do with real roads and temperature extremes...

Nice. But probably would cost more than some people's whole car.

Another design blending alloy and carbon fiber:

German specialist Wheelsandmore states that the 20-inch version of their beautiful and military advanced carbon-fiber / alloy wheel weighs 6 kg or about 13.2 lbs. That’s compared to 18 kg or approx 40 lbs of a standard same-size alloy wheel. But nothing comes for free as a set of 20-inch Megalight Forged Series wheels cost $29,000 USD.

If you had a quarter-million dollar supercar that was already made of 75% CF, that would just be a drop in the bucket.

Those are dipped, it's more like a formed decal. I did some work for Waldoch a couple years ago (custom installed Eclipse Nave units in the new Charger & 300) I took out the stock Mickey Mouse eared radio's & filled the gaps w/ ABS. Then when The dash was all finished ( mount wise that is) they dipped the dash. The Charger got a brushed silver dash & the 300 got a burl wood dash. Looked amazing & you could not tell they were not factory.

Some of my best work...
