5Zigen ProRacer's for MS3

Hi there!

I know this isn't the right place for intro's, but I figured I could kill 2 birds with one stone. I'm a former MINI owner/fanatic but recently let it go and picked up something a little more cargo/passanger friendly. I love hatchbacks so I set out looking for a Honda Fit...much to my frustration, I wasn't able to find one. I ended up getting an SP23 Mazda3 5-door only to return it a few days later (long story). Later that same day I stumbled on a wicked deal on a MazdaSpeed3 (True Red). Wow, talk about an awesome car...I absolutely love it.

Intro aside, I picked up a set of wheels which arrived today. They are 5Zigen ProRacer's in hyper gunmetal. What I can't decide is whether or not they're too light in color...the best way to find out is to have my stockers mounted and throw them on, but I don't really want to spend the cash if I'm not going to keep them. I know wheels are all about personal preference, but I thought I'd check in to see if anyone had any thoughts. If I decided not to keep them, I'd get a set of Tenzo Type M (flat black with red lip).

Sorry, I don't know how to post pictures!

On another note: if anyone knows where I could pick up an inexpensive set of tires (maybe slightly used 225/40-18's or stockers), please let me know.

No kidding. Too bad nobody around here has a CWP MS3 yet... not only would they have the sexiest color, but they'd also have a sense of originality! :p

I had the SP23 about 3 weeks ago...I got it from a dealer in Burnsville. I don't want to give them a bad rap because they took care of me!

Thanks for the welcome, everyone. Here's a crappy pic of the 5Zigen's (the flash made them look lighter than they actually are)...I guess the wheel is called the ZR +520. Also, a pic of my MS3 (Strongbad) that needs a bath and tint...and lastly a picture of the Tenzo Type M's I like.

I was just curious because I had an SP23 back when they first came out and traded it for my speed 3.

They're on!

I went ahead and had them mounted this morning...though they aren't the exact look I was originally going for, I'm really happy with them. Probably the highest quality wheel I've owned. Anyway, here are a few pics (no, I haven't lowered it...I just have 200 lbs of salt in the hatch).

Thanks, guys. The more I look at them, the more I like them...I think they're the perfect offset and the stock tires actually look really good, too.

how much did you get them for, discount tire is charging 260 a wheel. all together they want 1800 with mounting balancing and a set of falken 912 tires
