Anything autoexe is pricey.

IMHO, sway bars=good. Can improve body roll.

Strut bars are not usually worth the cost for what you get. Seems more like a visual mod than adding much performance. Therefore, Strut bars FTL.

Oh Im totally getting the cobb antisways but was wondering about those bars, they go in different spots than the cobb ones and hotchkis.

That's because sway bars and strut bars serve 2 different purposes. Sway bars attach to the suspension components to (simply put) reduce body roll.

Strut bars attach between points on the frame to decrease the amount of flex in your fram when the suspension components are stressed.

There are a couple problems with sway bars. First the front sway bar is a royal pain to put in. On my old car that I had I went to like 5 shops and nobody would put in the front swaybar and the MS3 is no different it is a big job to put it in. The rear bar is super easy install. Second problem I have had with sway bars is that they are stiffer than the stock swaybar so they will snap endlinks. I would not use an aftemarket swaybar without some sort of extra strong aftermarket endlinks.

I have never heard of anyone snapping endlinks on a mazda3 or MS3.... I think it's a bit of an exaggeration to say they "will" snap endlinks.

yeah never heard of anyone snapping them on the ms3 or a vibe. haha I know the fronts are always whores to put in :bullrider: . Thats why lots of people just do the rear. If i do the front there will be much :beerfunnel2: involved. I think I've seen stronger endlinks though...I know of some people custom making them too....

Just my experience from my other car that I had. I snapped the endlinks all the time. Maybe MS3 endinks are strong and they wont break.

Another argument for doing the rears only is that FWD cars usually understeer like mad. Stiffening up the rear swaybar tends to make the handling a bit more neutral.

Cobbs products were designed and tested on their MS3, I think if they were going to break endlinks, Cobb would do something about that.

I know that most FWD guys stick with the rear sway bar for that reason alone. Typically the results are more profound when doing just the rear. I know the Honda guys swore by the rear sway bar only.

hmmm yes thats what I heard for the vibe/trix too. Maybe I'll do just the rear for the mean time this summer and see how I like it. As for those bars on ebay, the only one that seems worth while is the front lower end link one, all the other braces are going near or over stock brace/body parts.

I'M OFFENDED!
Honda guys also swear by Type R badges, so I don't trust them for shit. But, the rest of the info is true. I was looking into a rear sway myself in the future.

Get over it Tom. Regardless of what you may think the Honda community has some positive things to offer.

Never. I realize that the Honda community may have positive things to offer, but I refuse to believe that they are the heart and soul of the Sport Compact movement. I think it could have easily happened to any car, but it happened to be Honda.

I am not an editor for Sport Compact Car; I didnt claim Honda was the heart and soul of the movement. I was merely stating that info I learned on the Honda side of world can easily be translated over to the Mazda side. I hate the Honda owners with Type-R badges as much as anyone, but thats not to say Mazda owners arent guilty of the same rice.
