I figure there's got to be someone parting out their MSP because it blew up again or something.
I want the diff. Give it to me.

The $750 MFactory eats up too much of my remaining $1000 budget for this particular car. Why? It is not a very good one. MFactory makes a reasonably priced replacement that doesn't need to be welded in order to hold more than a couple dozen hp.
I paid $750 for the one for the Escort...Are they going for that much?? I thought last time I checked the Quaife was about that much and the MFactory was closer to $500. I forgot you're looking at chump car budgets through.
It's mostly the riveted ring gear that's the weak point, but there have been other failures on the guys in the 400-500hp range (though usually it's 3rd gear that goes before that...)
No rush in terms of timeframe, especially if waiting gets me a good deal. I'm probably going to try to find a spare H-type trans myself for this job so the car is only down for a few hours when the time comes.Looks like your number was closer once you pay for shipping: http://www.crossoverauto.com/crossovershop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1171
I may have a solution for you Ben. Used MSP transmissions can be had for $500-$600 or so, and I have been contemplating buying one to rebuild over the winter. Mine is making some noise that I *think* is the input shaft bearing, but I am not sure. Anyhow, mayhaps we can work a deal where you get the LSD and I get everything else. What kind of timeframe are you looking at.
