Optima batteries?

Just wondering if you guys carry optima batteries, and if so, what kind of price could you give me on a yellow-top for a MSP?

Thanks!

Why you want the yellow top? To the best of my knowledge that's a deep cycle, probably only worth while if you're building up a stereo. I went with a red top...

I dunno, ask these other bastards who insisted yellow top was the only way to go, in my other thread! lol...

I dunno either, I'm not an EE.... (Where's Jeff?)

From http://www.optimabatteries.com/publish/optima/americas0/en/config/product_info/automotive.html:

If your battery is used in vehicles that demand extra reliability and performance, or if you just take pride in getting the best performance out of your vehicle, OPTIMA RedTop batteries deliver the performance you demand.
-----------------------------------------------
If your vehicle has a lot of accessories like running lights, high-performance stereo/AV system, winches, or hydraulics, your vehicle demands more from its battery. OPTIMA YellowTOP batteries provide the extra performance and deep cycling capability that your vehicle demands.

I don't know, you might find the yellow top handy when you get your hydraulics.

We carry optima batteries but I am not showing any direct match for your vehicle.
Care to give me some dimensions and post configuration I can work with and try to get a universal one to fit?

Looks like the stock battery box will accept a battery that is 9" long x 7" wide x 8" tall. The posts are spaced at about 6.5" on the long dimension. I think the only significant restriction would be the strut tower bar, which runs right above the middle of the battery, across the short dimension.

Here's a quick pic for reference.

Alright I'll see what I can dig up for a part number. It sucks when there isn't anything available and you get the play the guessing game.

Finally found something!!
A group 35 battery should work for you.
Red top:
Dimensions are 9-5/16" x 6-13/16" x 7- 5/8"
Do you have "reverse terminals" or not? Most imports do (I believe it is the positive terminal on the right side of the battery with the "front" facing you)
Price on both types is $150 and available in 1-2 business days. Both are 910cca and weigh 33.1lbs.

Sorry it took me so long to figure it out.

That's the same model I just concluded is probably best for me. And $150 is about what I've been seeing for prices, so that seems about right.

As to reverse terminals... umm, well the negative terminal is toward the back of the engine bay, and that's about all I know about that! lol

I've actually got something else I might be interested in talking to you guys about, so let me sit on this for a couple days, and I'll get back to you.

Thanks!

That is a good price, after shipping and tax on my end I could not do much better, unless you want to support your local shop, thanks.

Uh oh, he's laying on the "local shop" guilt trip! j/k :p

But I understand, and honestly, for a price difference of a couple bucks, I'm happy to support a local business and forum sponsor. If I can put together enough people to split a case of Redline MT-90, I'll probably order them both at them the same time

No problem, keep us posted.

P.S. I was wondering why "I" had visited this at 3pm when I wasn't here, lol.
