Ok I got a 2001 Ford Expedition and need to get a key programmed. Is there a way to do this without having two keys? I bought the truck with one and we had a scare last week with some lost keys. Got one online and they claimed to send the program directions that work. But they didn’t and I can’t return the key cuz I had to get it cut to try to program it.

Please whatever help you can give would be good.

I called and the stealership said it would cost anywhere from $55-$125 and that would suck.

I know the programming instructions for the MZ3 are listed on the forums. You might want to try and search Ford forums as I am sure someone figured it out. Hope that helps at least a little.

put the ken in turn it to the foward position (last click befor start)wait 3 sec turn it back to off but do not remove it,then do it agine 3 more times. now remove it. the truck should now work with the key.

its been 2 years since i had to do this last so i may have forgoten something but you cant damage the system so its ok

fyi incase you dont know its the cluster thats mated to the key not the ecu
