Throwing this out there, but probably won't be ready until Spring. Still if the perfect deal comes along, I might jump on it.
Looking for a FC RX7. I would like a 5 lug, 88+ model (Series 5), but can deal with a good condition Series 4. Engine need not work, or even be in the car for that matter. Same with the transmission. A running car is a plus, but not nessessary.
What I do require:
Good interior, or atleast the pieces there enough for me to repair/fix it.
Little to zero rust, surface is okay, but no rot thru.
Straight body is a plus.
Essentially I am looking for a shell, or a cheap running car that needs work. Colors of Preference is: Black, Blue, Red, White, others.
Turbo II and GTU models a plus, but beggers can't be choosers.
Price: TBA. I'd like to keep the chassis as cheap as possible due to everything else required to go into it. If anyone saw the last project I had (the stealth) they would understand how I am regarding attention to detail and perfection, this will be my "next" long term 5+ year project.
I figured I'd throw this out there as I am not on all the mazda boards and occasionally a really good deal pops up. Got one in your yard collecting dust? Hit me up and we can work something out. I am mechanically savvy, tuning savvy, and handy for house work. I can also pay $$ for a good shell. Projected budget is $0-1000 for a non running car, $2k for a running example.
