Same. Bought some WS70s new for some 16" steelies on my MS3 and they're rock-solid. Haven't gotten even close to being stuck in any weather this winter.
Decided to install my winter tires today. The forecast of snow tomorrow scared me into putting them on a bit earlier than I planned, but I'm happy with the results even with no snow. The Blizzaks are WAY quieter than my Goodyear all-seasons and it's noticeably easier to turn (a 205/60/R16 vs a...
I am trying to clean up all the extra stuff I have laying around the apartment and realized I have more things I don't use than I thought. Come buy it! Haggle! Ask to trade for beer!
CAR STUFF

Sometimes the turbo is just getting too much oil. These cars are notorious for that. A quick fix could be as "simple" as getting a new oil restrictor bolt, drilling it out a bit to compensate for the normally too-narrow opening, then install it. Google around for more info on that (I know...
I've got the TRZ Dogbone, which some people claim is harsh, but I love it. Zero wheel-hop, and the only time anything vibrates hard is under 1500 RPM with a load (IE: Not at idle).
Just so I'm up to speed, you have a turbo-back exhaust on the car but no high-pressure fuel internals? That's a huge, huge risk to run on these cars. Order HPFP Internals and don't floor the car (hell, I'd avoid boost all together) until they come. See this for references...
I should also mention I have one installed on my car. Installed with 2-port, there is no change in power, because the boost does not change. An EBCS is not a power-adding mod unless you're changing the boost levels.
The Grimmspeed EBCS does not modify the boost levels at all if you connect it via the directions that show 2-port. If you decided to hook it up 3-port instead, you are overboosting and will probably blow your engine up pretty soon if you keep on it. It probably feels like it's hauling ass...
I'm looking to get a boost leak test done on the cheap. I know building a boost leak tester is cheap as it is, but I don't have access to an air compressor, and would rather skip making the tester if someone else already has one handy. It's a stock-turbo (K04) Mazdaspeed 3 that it'd be done on...
Spotted a black Gen2 MS3 with tint and wheels at Lone Oak Grill today around 5-6pm. It had Wisconsin temp plates, so I'm guessing it was a new purchase. Anyone here?
#2 sounds cool. I was bummed I didn't join until the weekend after the summer cruise to New Glarus :( As long as it's not the first two weekends on Oct, I'll show up.
