Another successful year at BIR! Overall I would say nothing too out of the ordinary happened, except MAP's FD did get more than half a run in this year
I believe their best time was a 7.58 @ 17X. I witnessed multiple runs of every event this year - something I never did because drag racing stole the show for me.
However, I wasn't at the strip much this year as I became fascinated with the road course. This is something I'm going to look into heavily for next year. My buddy took his EVO out and was just destroying his car. I was fortunate enough to get a ride along - hitting 140mph in the straight and having AWD pull hard in the turns was an incredible experience. His brakes were fading hard, his clutch was slipping, had no first or 5th gears, and I believe he also had a broken sway bar end link. Regardless, he was less than 10 seconds slower than the fastest car there in the time trials. Not bad for his first time out, considering he was on street tires and had about 400 less whp than the winner.
I only took a handful of pictures so here they are:
Yes, I would say it was a tie between the amount of EVO's and Honda Civic's there...it was ridiculous.
Being that I only recorded my buddies at the drag strip and they didn't do anything too over the top exciting, I'll just list the road course coverage I had.

There were 2 MEAN Mini's there. One is about $60k deep, built by RS, fully race-prepped pushing 350whp. There were a handful of Corvettes (you'll hear which one has a 442 LS7 with over 700whp). The white Mustang was downright insane. The supercharged RSX ran INCREDIBLE times and placed 10th only 5 seconds behind the leader. There was a turbo Esprit there too but he didn't run great. All in all, I had a helluva time!
