DESCRIPTION

The MS3 Incode website will require VIN, Part Number, Serial Number and Error Control in addition to the Outcode in order to obtain the appropriate Incode for the subject models. The Incode is then used to grant access to the PATS security. This change has been implemented to enhance the overall security when gaining access to the system.

The IDS/PDS will provide the following for each module affected in PATS security access.

^ Dealer Code

^ Technician Name

^ Technician ID (last 4 digits of SSN)

^ E-mail

^ VIN

^ Part Number

^ Serial Number

^ Error Control Number

^ Request Reason

^ Model Type

^ Outcode

Mazda Incode web site has been updated to reflect PATS application software of IDS/PDS. Please pay close attention to the following for accessing PATS INCODES on Mazda Service Support System (MS3).

^ You MUST be an authorized Mazda Technician, Senior Technician, Master Technician, Shop Foreman, Service Manager or Service Director. Technician Trainees are not allowed access to the incode information.

^ Security for access to the INCODE information has been changed. If you are not the technician that initiated the existing MS3 session, and you fit any of the criteria listed above, you must log out of MS3 and re-initiate a new MS3 session using your user ID and password.

^ Please follow the repair procedure to obtain Incode.
