Remote Car Starters... best place to have one installed?

Looking to get my wife a remote car starter for her car for Christmas. I am wondering if anyone here has had good or bad experiences with certain shops in the metro. I'm looking for a recommendation for where I should purchase one and get it installed. Thanks!

Well... I ended up going with a nice Viper 4205V setup through 12 Volt Heaven, in Eden Prairie. Good price, with lifetime warranty on the product and installation.

Is there issues with having a remote start on a manual car? I'd love to get one, but keep hearing placing won't install it if you ahve a stick.

Yeah, car starters on vehicles that are typically in gear when parked means you hit start and your vehicle slams into whatever is in front or behind it (even if it's that one time you forget to park it in neutral with the e-brake on). This is why reputable places won't do it.

Thanks for the info. I dug arounda bit. A buddy had it in his MS3, I guess they bypass stuff to get it to work on his. I'm pretty sure he had an "in" at a place to get it installed. I may just be livin without, I'd rather not take a chance that the bypass not work.
