Music Keg / Phatnoise system, 10gb Cartridge + Mazda Cable

Hey Guys,

I had this installed in my MS3 for a short while and decided to just use the MP3 player I carry with me almost every day instead. Basically it's a 10gb HD (upgradable) that connects to your stock HU (via the aux in plug on the back of the HU) and you can controll it from the HU / Steering wheel controls.

Comes with software to set the unit up, add tracks, create playlists, etc then it will announce the playlists over your speakers (it talks). I didn't really use it much beyond making sure it works so I'm not really an expert on setting it all up, but it's got the Mazda firmware on it right now, and I have the 3 cable (shorter one) for it also.

So you get USB dock, software, 1 x 10gb cartridge, 3 cable, and the dock for the car. Comes with retail Kenwood box, kenwood cable, and the kenwood firmware also.

$120 takes it all!

paid on monday, so i should be able to cover the rest of the cost (got $40 saved up now). I may have to upgrade to a 20-30GB drive since i have about 60GB of music at the moment. Time for an eBay hunt...

edit: i can either get a used 40GB for $75 on eBay, or a new 120 for $285...the 10 will be fine i guess :D, just have to be selective with what i load on there.

I think you can buy a drive (laptop) and hack the cartridge, but I don't know the details on that.

Yes you can put a 120Gb cartridge in these but there is a pretty trickey hack you have to do according to phat hack dot com. Many people have done it with success. you can also put in a 160Gb dive but that requires a much bigger hack to do. and not worth it in my book.
