Hopefully I'm not stepping on Jess's toes here, but I want to get the ball rolling on this thing!

At this point, I suspect timing would be late July or August sometime. So... who's in? And those of you who are in, are there any weekends that would absolutely NOT work for you?

I am considering staking out the place we went last year. They had a nice large group site and some awesome river tubing. Any thoughts on that? Here's the place: http://www.lostfalls.com/

I was not able to make it last year, from what I recall those that went really liked that place - was there other stuffs to do besides tubing? Nice area to have a fire at night?

I am going to be out of town July 18-25th and then August 16-18th is the ALMS @ Road America that I'm still going to try and make so I may be unavailable that weekend. Kelsey and I would like to go as long as it's a weekend we can make it.

Looks like fun, probably won't be able to make it, but not sure yet. Is it a weekend or a night or what? Depending on the weekend chosen, we'll see what I have going on or if I have my son. If I have him, I probably won't be going because he doesn't care for camping much....not yet anyway.

The place we stayed last year has plenty of space for campfire and such, and there was a short path down to a sand beach on the river. Up in the main area there was a big open recreation area. But the tubing was definitely a highlight.

That's just one idea though... No shortage of campgrounds in the area!

Also this is usually a weekend trip- arrive Friday afternoon and depart Sunday morning.

Jess and I will definitely be down for this, as long as the weekend works out. I pretty much have every other weekend off all Summer long, so it's a 50/50 chance on whether I can swing it, but once availability dates are figured out, then we can certainly see what works for the majority. Lost Falls worked out great last year, especially with the group sites being very near the river and the fact that the site was so big that we were really able to spread out. The cabins and sites with electrical were all up on the hill as opposed to down by the river, so folks that want or need those things will be a car ride away from the group sites.

The one thing that sort of appealed last year with the Wisconsin campground is that the liquor stores are open on Sundays, so dropping off a keg is easier....although we learned we need to reserve a keg ahead of time to ensure we can actually GET one...lol

So what if we put this down to between July 27-29, August 3-5, and August 10-12? Should I put a poll up to see which weekends have the most availability?

Picklz and my 10 year high school reunion is Aug. 11th...not sure that I want to go to that...not sure Picklz cares either, but just stating that.

Poll would probably be a good thing.

Also, anyone interested in not camping, but rather getting a cabin there? Just curious? I'd be down for either.

Dude.....srsly go to your 10yr reunion. All the chicks I graduated with were WAAAAY hotter at the 10yr reunion than they were when we graduated.

I'll have to start eating better and exercise quick so I can lose at least 10-20 pounds if that's the case...I'm sure most that will be there and I consider hot are taken or total bitches anyway...not that I couldn't get one in bed, but not what I'm looking for in the long run.

Yeah I wouldn't mind going to see what everyone's been up to, and how many of the not so hot chicks got hot lol. Where did you find the info on our reunion Mike?

I guess that leaves August 3-5 as the best weekend for me, 27-29 may work but we will have just been in az for a week, not sure how into camping we'll be after that trip lol, need to give my liver some recovery time.

Alright, so if everyone is good with the place I posted at the top, I'll give em a call this week and confirm availability for the 3 weekends I mentioned earlier. I'd like to lock in a date and place by the end of the week or by middle of next week at the latest, so please keep coming with the feedback!
