We have updated to the newest version of the forum. Please let us know if you see any issues. And, yes, we know the shoutbox is gone. We'll see about getting it back if they make a newer version.
Both cars have a 5spd, identical transmission. Both geared to do exactly 200mph at rev limit in top gear.
Math says 3.55 rear end in Car B, 4.5 rear end in Car A. And again... both cars make 600hp at peak.
The gearing difference is going to be pretty drastic, which would make "time to peak power" pretty similar. The two motors may free-rev in neutral at the same speed, but that's not relevant while actually in gear.
Here we go again... (Last time i asked this question, it turned into a shitshow.)
There are no dyno graphs. ASSume that neither motor magically hits a wall and goes to 0 HP at 6501 and 8501rpms magically, respectively.
Figure a solid 1000rpms or so of usable power above peak. I'll make...
Car "A"
2100lbs
600hp @ 8500rpms
Car "B"
2100lbs
600hp @ 6500rpms
Both cars have identical transmissions. Both cars are geared to do precisely 200mph. Both cars are identical in EVERY way other than motor and the rear end necessary to hit 200mph.
Assume bother cars have a...
Got some parts. Did some stuff.
Parts.
More parts.
Doing things.
This motor was fucking disgusting.
I'm guessing the cam or crank seal was leaking. Or... both. Yep. I just cut off the timing belt because it was soaked in oil. Fuck re-using that thing even...
Goodies are arriving for Home School Prom Queen.
I have many more things to unpack, but here's a preview or two.
Addco front hard poly endlinks.
Peep THIS old school shit. History lesson: These are Axxis Metal Masters made by their parent company. WIN.
