SOoooo today I went the the dealership because my car is still covered under the extended warranty and I have been having issues with my entire engine compartment smelling like burning oil. Lately, the smell has started to come into the car with the heat. Since I have recently noticed oil pooling up on the bottom of my turbo, I figured it was leaking (as many of you other msp owners have had this same issue). So I dropped my car off at the dealership, and went on my way assuming it would be a good couple of days til I saw it again. Four hours later, they call and tell me that they fixed the problem and that it was my PCV valve and my total bill came to 114$.... WTF. I called them back as I had told them to CALL ME PRIOR TO ANY REPAIR. I had to argue with the service manager in order to get them to put my old PCV back in and let me have the car back without a charge. Im sorry but a PCV valve costs $4 and it takes 2 min to put in. The dealer wanted to charge me $48 for the "genuine mazda part" and a half hours worth of labor for it. I went straight from the dealer to go pick up a PCV valve (which was actually less than $4 cause I work at Checker Auto Parts) and put it in in the parking lot. And even better yet, the turbo is STILL leaking oil.

Straight up BS with a side of general douchebaggery. Not only did they try to fix a leaking turbo by replacing the PCV valve (wtf?), but they also had the balls to try and charge you over $100 for the pleasure of being bent over their service counter.

Polar Mazda- I should have known better, this isn't the first time they have tried to fuck me over, it was sheer convenience as they are about a half hour closer than brookdale mazda/mitsu.

Well, if you didn't live on the other end of the planet, i'd say talk to Morries. I brought my car in on a Saturday once, and they were packed. No appt or anything, trying to figure out WTF my car was throwing a CEL for. They took it in back, and in an hour had fixed all of the recalls I had not had time to get to. Even got a tasty cookie out of the deal, and some time with the internet and GT4.

+1 for morries. They replaced my turbo and tossed me a loaner without the slightest hassle. I had to push them a little bit on my tranny issue, but once I convinced them the tranny was making noise, they took care of it.

I'm only going to Morries now. They've fixed problems Walser couldn't even find.

Hope your turbo gets fixed, Jay got hooked up @ Morries. I'm still mad at the dealership in Burnsville for making me wait 2 hours and then did nothing to top it off, I won't name any names...

Yikes, not cool. I've had a pretty good run with Brookdale and when I did have an issue Paul usually took care of everything to make me happy. In the end some dealerships realize losing a little bit in service to make the customer happy may just keep them buying cars there. Some are just after the short term dollar.

Wait a tick...Polar is a half hour closer to you than Brookdale? I thought you lived in/near Coon Rapids?

Anyways, I went to Polar twice with my 6 and wasn't that pleased either time. Go to another dealer, explain, and have them fix it.

Shit, that never stopped me. I was getting loaners (and straight-up rental cars) at 18. Have they actually said, "You're under 21, no loaner", or have you not asked? It probably helps to not be like "ZOMG I'M NOT 21 CAN I STILL HAS A CAR?" either.

I have to give another big thumbs up to Morrie's and highly recommend the staff there. I have only had the best of service on my vehicle and treated with the utmost respect every time I visit.

Sorry to hear about the issues you are having with Polar.

I work in Coon Rapids, but I live in Maplewood. Polar is like 10 min from me. And I tried to play dumb and get a loaner when my diff broke in July and they straight up asked me if I was 21. When I said no they were like ok, no loaner. Boo stupid whores.
